Movistar (Telefonica) and French Company Vivendi have unveiled in Argentina – and for all Latin America – Studio+, the first global short premium series offer and app.
The services was officially announced on Wednesday, October 26, at the headquarters of Fundación Telefonica. A week earlier, Telefonica had launched the app in Brazil, during Futurecom 2016. In Argentina, the monthly subscription costs AR $40 (USD 2.6). In Brazil, it costs R$ 12.90 (US $ 4).
Studio + currently has full seasons of 15 series, each lasting about 10 minutes. “The Millennials watch three times more video than other generations. Of these, 62% are short-form videos”, said Leandro Musciano, Regional Product and Services Director at Telefonica.
During the presentation in Argentina two episodes of the original miniseries “Ahí Afuera” (Out There), filmed in the country, were exhibited.
Movistar will market the service for mobile users in Latin American in the countries where it operates. The application can be downloaded from Movistar Store in each country.
