Telefónica to offer NFL games on mobile devices

Telefónica, which operates under the Vivo brand in Brazil, has reached an agreement with NFL for the distribution of the league’s direct-to-consumer digital service, NFL Game Pass, to mobile customers. The monthly subscription costs R$ 29.99 (USD 7.3).
The telecom company said the Season Plus package enables subscribers to stream all 2018 NFL preseason, regular season, and playoff games, including Super Bowl LIII, as well as the NFL Draft. The service also features condensed games (which can be downloaded for later viewing), historical games, the linear 24/7 channel – NFL Network, and access to “Coaches Film,” a feature that allows users to review any play, from any game, at different angles.
Vivo said that the price of the subscription of the Season Plus package is 37% less than the option available in the market. Customers can pay directly via their mobile plan or prepaid credits.
In addition to the Season Plus package, customers of Vivo Familia package and certain eligible individual postpaid plans will be able to access the NFL Game Pass Game of the Week package, which includes a weekly game on Sunday, voiced in Portuguese.
The agreement was also signed with Perform Group, which markets the NFL’s television broadcast rights in various global territories and the premium digital subscription product NFL Game Pass outside the United States and Europe.
