Telefe, Nickelodeon to coproduce musical TV series in Argentina

During the L.A Screenins, Nickelodeon Latin America and Argentine TV broadcaster Telefe announced an agreement with Glee’s executive music producer Adam Anders and 360 Powwow to coproduce the new music series “Kally’s MashUp.”

The series will have 60 one-hour episodes and will begin filming in August in Buenos Aires. It will be produced by 360 Powwow from Telefe studios and will premiere on Nickelodeon first and then on free-to-air TV through the Argentine channel (dates were not confirmed yet). Telefe will have distribution rights for all of Latin America.

Created by Adam Anders and Antony Falcon, “Kally’s MashUp” follows the adventures of Kally, a 13-year-old musical prodigy who tries to balance her life as a virtuoso pianist and a teenage girl, after moving from a small town to the most prestigious university of music in the country.

Ezequiel Fonseca Zas,  ‎SVP, Multiplatform Strategy & Marketing (Latam & Brasil) at Viacom will participate in the next edition of NexTV Series South America, to be held on June 14 & 15 at the Alvear Palace Hotel in Buenos Aires.
