Telecentro revamps its TV Everywhere platform

Argentine operator Telecentro has launched an evolution of its TV Everywhere platform, Telecentro Play. The service now integrates new features in the set-top box, as well as the possibility of watching linear live TV on mobile devices. The new application is available free for HD clients. For other TV clients, the monthly price is AR$ 95 (USD 4.7) after one month of free trial.
Among the new features, Telecentro Play offers 24-hours catch up, the possibility to rewind, pause and fast forward the contents, as well as cloud PVR and Start Over. All through a new “modern and friendly” interface, the company said in a statement. Users can also switch from one screen to the other, since the platform is synchronized for all devices.
Customers can also access a VOD catalog with 8500 series and movies. In addition, all soccer World Cup matches will be available live. “This becomes particularly attractive when taking into account that the National Team matches will be played during working hours and many people will not be able to leave their jobs,” the company explained.
The new app is now available to all TV customers. Users can access through their iOS and Android devices, and directly from the remote control, through the decoSmart set-top box, which the operator began installing in 2016.
Previously, Telecentro Play only included the “play” services or TV Everywhere offers of the main content providers. Now, that option is still available under the brand Telecentro Web.
