Telefonica Celular of Bolivia -Telcel, which commercial brand is ‘Tigo Bolivia’-, informed it customers that it has increased 24 TV plans prices through HCF technology. New values are valid since February, and they mainly affect the Basic, Advanced, HD, TV, Triple Play and Home plans.
‘The increase in the service payment belongs to programming costs raises and improvements, such as the inclusion of special events’, said Telcel in an official statement published on its website, where it also explained that the previously mentioned modification ‘follows the current regulations, established by the Telecommunications and Transport Regulation and Control Authority (ATT).
Bolivian Broadcasters Association (ATB) questioned prices changes measure, and ATT reported that TV plans are ‘only acquired by those who decide to have it. Clients can take it or not, change to another company if that is their desire, or simply cancel it’.
