TCL announced the launch in Brazil of the new line of Smart TVs, called P2 Ultra HD, which includes an exclusive button of Globo Play on the remote, allowing direct access to the homepage of the OTT app.
This way, the manufacturer facilitates access to the catalog, which include Globo’s telenovelas, series and news shows, and 4K contents. “We will not only have the application but we will also be the first company to have a button on the remote control, which makes a difference in user comfort”, said Ricardo Freitas, president of Semp TCL.
This is the first major launch in Brazil for TCL, which in mid-2016 made a joint venture with Brazilian Semp, known as the first company to produce a TV in the country.
The new line TCL P2 offers three models (49 “, 55” and 65 “), all with slim design, Linux system and HDR technology. It also have ‘Football Mode’ feature, the Go Live entertainment platform and access to Netflix and YouTube apps. It is been available in the market since April from R $ 3,299 (USD 1,048).
