The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced expanded coverage plans for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 in Dubai. ICC TV is set to produce live coverage of 28 matches which will be broadcast by the Cricket body’s global broadcast partners, making this edition the most widely available to watch ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier event in history.
According to a media release, “A range of television and digital platforms will ensure that more fans than ever before are able to connect with of the 14-team tournament which starts in the UAE on 18 October, including via the Official ICC App, ICC T20 World Cup website and through ICC’s continued partnerships with its broadcast and digital partners.”
Supersport will broadcast matches in South Africa and the rest of sub-Saharan Africa. Three African members are competing in the tournament in the form of Namibia, Kenya and Nigeria. Supersports coverage begins on Friday when Ireland face Hong Kong from 12:00, the broadcast will go out on Supersport 2 DSTV channel 202.
