Sun TV, the Tamil satellite television station has acquired the pay-TV rights for India and Sri Lanka. The channel is bringing the ‘YOKO’, the pre-school children’s animated series across the above-mentioned regions.
The kids’ series consists of 52 episodes lasting for 12 minutes each. It is co-produced by Russia’s Wizart and Spanish toon studios Somuga and Dibultoon and Spanish broadcaster TVE. The story revolves around the adventures of three children who loves to play outside. They are joined by magical forest taking their ordinary games and turning them into extraordinary adventures.
Dominic Gardiner, the CEO of Jetpack, revealed that: “We are delighted to be partnering with some of the world’s leading broadcasters and toy companies on Yoko. These new agreements underline this quirky brand’s broad international appeal and we are excited that the show is attracting attention from broadcasters and licensing companies in these key markets and beyond”.
