Working with local partners has been a key issue to the success of our worldwide expansion and, this way, Izzi is an ideal platform to do so in Mexico”, said Superna Kalle, EVP, International Digital Networks at Starz.

When hiring StarzPlay through Izzi, contents will be available on the TV screen, as well as on any iOS and Android cell phone and tablet through the izzigo app. With this Izzi’s launch, customers will be able to enjoy several HD contents, such as Castle Rock and Mr. Mercedes, created by writer Stephen King, The Act, Pennyworth (from DC Comics) and original StarzPlay productions, such as Vida, about two Mexican-American sisters in Los Angeles, and The Spanish Princess, about Catalina de Aragon life.

Salvi Folch, CEO at Izzi, highlighted the importance of this alliance for the Mexican company: ‘This strategic agreement with Starz is very important for us. It allows us to continue fulfilling our promise to make available to our subscribers the best and more diverse original content, so they can live the experience of having everything on a single place. We will continue to work hard so that Izzi strengthens its position as the largest content integrator in Mexico’, he said.
