The digital TV entertainment operator StarTimes is all set to beam live matches of the African Basketball League in Kenya as from next month. The African Basketball League matches action tips off on the 4th March 2016.
In his comments the vice president of StarTimes Mark Lisboa said that the African Basketball League will add onto the increased sports offering available on StarTimes, adding that the pay television platform is making dedicated efforts to appeal to the wider sports fan base in Kenya through the acquisition of popular sports genres.
“StarTimes broadcasting of the African Basketball League demonstrates our continuous engagement and support of the best African talents. It is our commitment to provide fantastic sport and entertainment experience to our sport loving subscribers across Kenya,” added Lisboa.
On the other hand, Ugo Udezue, Chief Executive Officer of ABL declared: “We are very excited to bring African Basketball League onto the StarTimes platform through TRACE Sports which will contribute greatly to the growth of professional basketball within the African continent.”
