Sony unveiled in Mexico a new 100-inch TV set with 4K HDR technology and Android system. The equipment was launched in partnership with Netflix.
The new TV XBR-100Z9D arrived the Mexican market only a day after its launching in the U.S and Europe. It costs MX$ 1.3 million (USD 70,000).
The equipment received the “Netflix recommended TV” seal of approval. New TV allows access to Netflix’s 4K series such as “Marco Polo”. “Two thirds of our users worldwide prefer to watch our content on a TV, and in Mexico that figure is growing at over 70%”, said Scott Mirer, VP Device Partner Ecosystem at Netflix, informed Expansión newspaper.
Netflix and Sony have been working together since 2009, “when connected devices were a new segment in the market”, Mirer added.
