DTH operator SKY Brasil announced the launch of nine HD channels. Children’s channels Boomerang HD and Nick Jr. HD are now available to customers with HD plans throughout the country. In addition, seven other channels that are already available in standard definition are now included in the lineup in HD version.
Boomerang HD (Turner) offers children’s content from 4 to 7 years old. Its programming includes classic characters like Tom and Jerry, The Pink Panther and Scooby Doo. Nick Jr. HD (Viacom) is dedicated to preschoolers with TV shows that promote different areas of learning such as math, language and science, among others.
The other seven channels, now available in HD are HBO Family (channel 275), Max (channel 278), HBO Signature (channel 276), Studio Universal (channel 257), Syfy (channel 246), Playboy TV (channel 156) and MTV (channel 285).
All networks will be open for the entire post-paid HD client base until May 14. Then, they will be available to those subscribers with Full and Plus packages.
