RecordTV to premiere local version of Dancing with the Stars in Brazil

BBC Worldwide announced the premiere on Brazil’s RecordTV of “Dancing Brasil”, the local adaptation of “Dancing with the Stars”, one of the British company’s most globally successful franchises. “Dancing Brasil” is BBC Worldwide’s first agreement of its kind with Record.

The show – produced by RecordTV and Endemol Shine Brazil in partnership with BBC Worldwide – will be hosted by Brazilian celebrity Xuxa Meneghel and will air every Monday at 22:30 starting in April. It will feature 90-munite episodes.

The format license for “Dancing with the Stars”, the world’s leading dance entertainment brand, has been sold to over 50 countries and over 300 seasons of the format have aired across the globe.

“We are pleased to start our recently signed production agreement with BBC Worldwide with the local adaptation of a great show like Dancing with the Stars, helping the company meet the growing demand for acclaimed British titles that resonate with Brazilian audiences,” stated Juliana Algañaraz, Managing Director Endemol Shine Brazil.
