RealVu in Bangladesh revealed its content strategy


RealVu, the Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite TV service in Bangladesh, has revealed its content strategy. It will be customised accordingly to the choice of the audience of the particular country. And after a scrutiny done by the content team of RealVu, TV channels was chosen to air programmes in English, Bengali and home-grown languages.

Being in collaboration with other partners in Selhet, Dhaka and Chittagong, RealVu’s TV signal is omnipresent across the country. A total of 105 digital channels, including 5 HD channels is offered at the price of 300 BDT (3.83 USD). At present they are working to broaden the activity of the company, in a view of a mega launch. Among the package included by RealVu are Sony Corporation, Indiacast, Star India TV network, Discovery Networks, Zee Entertainment Enterprise and Turner Broadcasting System (TBS).

“We took into consideration the entertainment demand of the country while preparing our content. We, RealVU is the pioneer at obtaining broadcast permission of certain channels including the major networks such as Rishtey, Zee Bangla Cinema which haven’t been formally introduced to Bangladesh before. Also we are officially reintroducing Disney,” said Chowdhury Fahriyar, Content Manager of RealVU.
