OSN, the Middle East pay-TV operator, has extended its exclusive agreement with The Walt Disney company. The new pact will allow OSN to cover a large array of movies, series, alongside other channel offerings in the region of Middle East and North Africa.
Following this deal, OSN will introduce a dedicated Disney-branded HD movie channel in the beginning of next year, alongside the offer of Disney Forever On Demand service within a few months and this will include Disney Channel classics. Content that will still be on offer are ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’; Doctor Strange; ‘The Incredibles 2’, as well as ‘Scandal’ and ‘How To Get Away with Murder’.
OSN’s service has also been improved with the launching of three new digital services including Disney Channel Pop Pick Play, Disney English and Disney Channel Hindi.
Emad Morcos, the chief content officer at OSN, revealed: “We are continuing to build on our strong collaboration with Disney through an even wider range of content that appeals to family and kids. The quality of Disney entertainment is unbeatable and the addition of more On Demand anytime, anywhere shows will offer added choices for our customers. Our long-term partnership with Disney is industry-defining as it raises the bar in home entertainment and brings even more value for our subscribers.”
On the other hand, Chafic Najia, the general manager of Disney Middle East & North Africa, said: “We are delighted to build on our long-standing and dynamic relationship with OSN across the MENA region.
