Ooredoo TV, the television network based in Qatar, has freshly introduced the 4K channel, FunBox UHD from SPI International, in its TV offering in the Middle East.
Murat Muratoglu, head of distribution at SPI for the Middle East. “We are glad to bring the Ultra HD channel to viewers in Qatar”.
“It is important for us to expand our UHD distribution footprint into new markets such as Qatar following our recent launches in Romania, Portugal, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Turkey”, he added.
As mentioned earlier on nextnews Africa, “Customers of the Ooredoo TV, having the basic package, will be able to access the channel. Content will include entertainment programs such as ‘La Boheme’, a film opera captured in UHD and the ‘Sea Chef’ which is a series of documentary presented by Angel Leon and Ndjemta Michelin, revolving around the seafood flavours in Spain. Also, documentaries about nature, wildlife and communities, music, sports, arts and culture, will all be proffered by the 4K channel”.
Further, according to a statement made by SPI International, “Audiences watching FunBox UHD on Ooredoo TV can now enjoy breathtaking visual content, more detail, contrast dynamics and extended colours than ever before”.
