Ooredoo TV, the Qatar-based television network, has revealed the launch of a new channel in 4K, in the name of FunBox UHD. It will be accessible in the region of the Middle East. Content will be broadcasted with 4K technology, 24×7 on channel number 444, using Ooredoo TV service.
Customers of the Ooredoo TV, having the basic package, will be able to access the channel. Content will include entertainment programs such as ‘La Boheme’, a film opera captured in UHD and the ‘Sea Chef’ which is a series of documentary presented by Angel Leon and Ndjemta Michelin, revolving around the seafood flavours in Spain. Also, documentaries about nature, wildlife and communities, music, sports, arts and culture, will all be proffered by the 4K channel.
According to a statement made public by the company, it says that: “Audiences watching FunBox UHD on Ooredoo TV can now enjoy breathtaking visual content, more detail, contrast dynamics and extended colours than ever before”.
On top of the new technology offered by the new channel, Ooredoo TV will offer other services like time shift, Android apps, parental control and thousands of hours of on-demand content, among others.
