Ooredoo launches zero-rating streaming service

Ooredoo, the Qatari international telecommunication company unveiled their new offer. The offer called Stream On is a streaming video streaming service which will grant unlimited access to certain content providers such as Youtube and VIU.

The service will be available for US $ 1.30 per day for prepaid customers and US $ 26 per month for postpaid customers.

Prince Thomas, Director of Digital and New Business said, “We live in a digital world, where people want more for their data. Smart devices are playing an increasing role in our lives, with video streaming being the number one way people consume data. We are responding directly to Oman’s growing demand for mobile entertainment using our state of art 4G network to make it easier for our customers to enjoy mobile entertainment, without having to worry about their data use.”

The service will only offer SD quality and is based on a zero-rating offer
