The gaming platform Nimo TV, owned by the Chinese Huya, was launched on Wednesday in Brazil, as part of an international expansion that it is developing. Its contents are available for PCs and iOS and Android devices.
‘We saw in Brazil an opportunity for growth. Brazilians are among the most passionate of games worldwide. Since the end of last year, when we started testing in the local market, we noticed an increase in the demand for streaming games, mainly mobile, where Nimo TV expects to invest more and more’, said Wei He, Head of Operation of Nimo TV. The platform offers high quality content in games for PCs, consoles and esports.
Brazil is the second country in Latin America where Nimo TV is present. The platform is also available in Mexico, as well as Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. Since December 2018, it has registered about 11.5 million monthly active users, and its application records 20 million downloads in Android devices worldwide.
