Netflix will be available in UAE through mobile operators du and Virgin Mobile after an agreement has been settled. Netflix’s subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) content will be available across the operators’ TV and mobile services in the beginning this month.
The chief digital lifestyle and innovation officer of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC) the parent organisation of du and Virgin Mobile, Anthony Shiner, said, “Our partnerships are key catalysts in making EITC a world-class organisation and facilitating growth plans in the UAE.”
Anthony Shiner further expressed, “We are dedicated to offering added value and convenience through up-to-date entertainment solutions, whether it is streaming movies and shows on our customers’ devices or paying bills through our app. Our collaboration with Netflix is another milestone in our digital vision and innovation roadmap.”
The partnership will offer du and Virgin Mobile subscribers to pay for a Netflix subscription through their monthly mobile bill.
