Namibian Broadcasting Corporation removed two TV channels from its platform

The public broadcaster, Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) has recently just announced the removal of two TV channels from its platform – One Africa Television (OATV) and the Christian channel, Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). 

Since 2008, NBC has been experiencing a financial crisis and according to the representative of NBC, the two above TV channels have not been respecting the payment procedures. 

Umbi Karuaibe-Upi, Commercial Director of NBC stated that there are fixed costs in order to make the broadcasting of the two channels possible. The recovery of costs from OATV and TBN had been discussed with the two entities, without further action.
