MultiChoice’s DStv introduces Trace Africa music channel

MultiChoice, the video entertainment and internet company, has revealed a new music channel, Trace Africa, which is to be launched soon on DStv, beginning of September. Subscribers will be thrilled with the new channel offering unique music videos and documentaries on artists in the South African regions.

Viewers will have access to music content featuring modern hits from Kwailto, House, Coupé-Décalé, Afro-pop, Rumba and Ndombolo. Trace Africa (channel 326), together with Trace Urban (channel 325) will replace Trace Sport Stars (channel 188) which will cease to be aired by the end of August, this year. Trace Africa’s content can be of English, Portuguese or French African genres.

Trace Urban, on the other hand is an international urban music channel, giving insight into urban music and culture. It also screens famous urban music genres with state-of-the-art R&B and hip-hop. Furthermore, music videos, exclusive interviews of urban celebrities and unique features related to urban culture (dance, lifestyle, music, cinema, fashion and sport) will as well be available.

Trace Africa will be accessible to the customers on DStv Extra, DStv Premium, DStv Family and DStv Compact in South Africa.
