Telecom Togo (Moov), subsidiary of Maroc Telecom officially launched the 4G in Lomé and its outskirts. Subscribers were therefore the first to experience the very mobile broadband offered by 4G.
Thanks to this offer, the streaming, the online television and applications requiring a broadband are accessible to the subscribers and to the Togolese people in general. Some VIP subscribers of Moov Togo in Lomé already benefited from the 4G connection since June 28, 2018.
Moov’s investment in high speed mobile broadband follows the agreement signed by the Minister of Posts and Digital Economy of Togo, Cina Lawson, on June 11, 2018, during a solemn ceremony, with the operators in Togo.
The transition to 4G represents a turning point to improve the attractiveness of Moov Togo’s data offerings via more advanced technologies and to offer Togolese fast Internet speeds. It is part of the Togolese Government’s strategy to encourage the growth of the digital economy in the country.
For Abdellah Tabhiret, General Manager of Moov Togo, ‘‘With the advent of 4G, today, new prospects are opening up with confidence to subscribers and confirm our commitment to remain a company concerned with revolutionizing mobile telephony in Togo.’’
