Mega to become holding in 2019

Chilean broadcaster Mega, which belongs to the Bethia Group, will be reorganized into a holding company, called Mega Media, which will include its 5 radios, 8 websites, the FTA TV signal and a pay TV channel, as well as new strategy and advertising businesses.
Macarena Cerda, Business and Development Director, said that under this new structure Mega will no longer be only a content producer and any brand can design a strategy and advertising campaign, La Nación reported.
“We are going to make our audiences, areas of study and creativity available to our clients to give communicational solutions to brands,” said the executive. “The sum of our medial group is able to reach 87% of the population, which makes it the most important in Chile. We are also the channel with the most followers in social networks: 4 million on YouTube, 2 million on Facebook and 1 million on Instagram,” she added.
In the new holding, Patricio Hernández will be general manager of Mega Media and Mega TV. On the other hand, Paulina Santos, current manager of Estudios, will be in charge of Mega Media Research; Marcelo Bravo will be in charge of Mega Media Marketing, and Constanza Junge will lead Mega Media Digital.
