The French group M6 has just made a 33% stake in the capital of Ivorian television LIFE TV, one of the four operators authorized to operate a private commercial television service in the clear on the national television network. terrestrial DTT in Ivory Coast.
For this purpose, an agreement was signed between Fabrice Sawegnon, CEO of LIFE TV, and Nicolas De Tavernost, Chairman of the Executive Board of the M6 Group, on Thursday 14 December 2017.
This alliance will enable LIFE TV “to benefit from the great expertise of its strategic partner, the M6 Group, in television broadcasting and accelerate the development of the production and enhancement of Ivorian content. It is also part of the capacity building of the Ivorian audiovisual ecosystem with the construction of a production platform integrating a modern studio of 1000 m2 “, a statement said.
For his part, Fabrice Sawegnon, who is also the founder of Voodoo Group, a leader in the communications sector in Ivory Coast, will bring his mastery of the advertising market in French-speaking Africa for the success of this project.
It should be noted that the new LIFE TV channel to be launched in 2018 will be headed by Vincent Broussard. He has already directed several television channels in France, including Teva, TF6 and serieclub.
