Over-the-top service provider, Lukup Media, has entered into a content deal with Euro Channel. The agreement will bring European movies to Lukup’s platform.
The Bangalore-based company has also recently won provisional multi-system operator licence from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Lukup has said that it will be starting its cable services by August this year, reports Television Post.
Partnership with Euro channel, thus, has come at an important time for Lukup as it plans to strengthen business in the country. Adding content on its platform can help it expand its subscriber base.
“We are excited to bring a selection of outstanding cinema from across Europe in partnership with Eurochannel on the Lukup Media platform. This partnership aligns with our objective of bringing international content and TV channels to Indian audiences and to present them with more choice of content,” said Lukup Media founder and CEO Kallol Borah, according to Indian Television.
