Liberty Global reported USD 908 million in revenues in Latin America and the Caribbean

Liberty Global published its financial balance of the third quarter of 2017 in which it reported USD 908 million in revenues in the Lilac division (Latin America and the Caribbean). The figure represents an increase of 1.6% compared to the previous year. The company said that hurricanes Irma and Maria hit several markets in the Caribbean.

Cable & Wireless had revenues of USD 579 million (+ 1.8%), while VTR of Chile reported USD 242 million (+ 9.4%). On the other hand, the income of Liberty Puerto Rico fell 15.5% interannual to 88.6 million, as a result of the hurricane in that country.

In its report, the company affirmed that the hurricanes had a negative impact on the income of Liberty Puerto Rico and C & W in USD 19 million and USD 3 million, respectively.

At the finish of Q317, Lilac registered 5.2 million RGUs, 45.2% more than in the same period of the previous year. Of that total, 2.1 million were broadband RGUs, 1.7 million video and 1.4 million voice.
