Peruvian free-to-air TV channel Latina (canal 2) signed an agreement with Gol TV, the owner of the TV rights, to broadcast 54 games of the national soccer league, starting on April 23.

Latina obtained the rights to broadcast the domestic tournament, called Campeonato Descentralizado, over the next five years for USD 15 million. “Gol TV was looking for a true partner with passion and commitment for the development of its property; that is what we are contributing,” said in Dia1 TV show Lucian Olivares, Latina’s manager of Strategy and Content. The agreement is similar to the one signed by America TV in 2016.

All 350 matches of the local tournament, also known as Copa Movistar, will be available on Movistar TV through the exclusive channel Gol Peru. In turn, Media Networks’ channel CMD broadcasts 100% of qualifiers matches.
