Three streaming platforms that illegally broadcasted Spanish Football Professional League (LaLiga) matches in Brazil have been closed, according to what LaLiga and LtaHub law firm’s reported. Together, they surpassed 8,000 subscribers and half a million visits per month. These are the sites www.listaiptvbrasil.com,br; www.melhorlistaiptv.com.br and www.listaiptvbrasilhd.br.
‘Audiovisual piracy is a crime and it threatens football, competition and all sports future’, said Melcior Soler, LaLiga Audiovisual Area Director. Ygor Valerio, CEO of LtaHub, pointed that the three streaming platforms had ‘an enormous potential for damage’, and that their closing ‘shows not only the importance that fight against piracy has for LaLiga, but also the fact that this crime does not have a secure home in Latin America’.
With this platforms closure, Brazil joins other actions against piracy, which ended with the closing of four websites that offered audiovisual properties through streaming.. They added more than 43 million monthly visits and almost 14 million subscribers per month.
