Kwesé TV to launch three-day prime content pack in Kenya

A three-day subscription in pay-as-you-watch packages will be available for Kwesé TV customers to purchase. A move to aid the company Kenya’s highly competitive market. The company said that customers could pay for three-day, seven-day or 30-day passes for its premium content.

Kwesé came into the market last year, focusing on sports. The firm is now offering Kenyans more than 60 channels of entertainment, current affairs and sports programming.

Earlier this year Kwesé signed a four-year deal with the Union of European Football Associations (Uefa) and Fifa, giving them the rights to broadcast national team football matches and the 2018 World Cup across the continent. Kwesé also proudly brags the rights to broadcast live games of United States NBA in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Kennedy Ojung’a, Kwesé TV general manager for Kenya said, “Kenya is an important market for us and we are excited to bring our full offering here.” In Kenya, Kwesé is going up against the tough competition offered by Multichoice’s DStv as well as new streaming services such as ShowMax and Netflix. Iflix is the latest Video on Demand service to come to Kenya.
