Kwesé TV available now in Liberia

Kwesé Free Sports channel has been made available in Liberia on 2nd of November by the Pan-African media group Econet Media and Raising African Media Incorporated (RAM). The largest free-to-air channel, Kwesé Free Sports channel, is now available on CLAR providing premium sports channel to the Liberian audiences on a 24-hour basis. 

Joseph Hundah, president and chief executive of Econet Media, said in a press statement, “Kwesé Free Sports offers unrestricted access to premium sports content including Premier League, the NFL, Brazil Serie A, Copa Del Rey, motorsports and international boxing among others.”

He added, “Kwesé Free Sports continues to grow from strength-to-strength and we are proud to add Liberia to our network through our partnership with RAM. We look forward to dazzling local fans with our world class coverage of some of the best in international and African sports programming.” 

In addition, the channel also holds rights to air the 2017/2018 NBA Season, Play-Offs and Finals as well as the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Kwesé Free Sports channel has been spreading across the world and is now available in 26 countries which now includes Liberia, on free-to-air analogue and digital terrestrial television (DTT). Through this facility, Kwesé Free Sports will now become Liberia’s 24/7 local sports channel accessible across the country on any free-to-air set-top-box and all DTT platforms. 

Gerald Sherman, RAM founder, chief executive officer and president, was quoted in the statement saying CLAR TV of Royal Communications Inc, will cater the broadcast platform for Econet Media’s Kwesé Free Sports, which signed an agreement with RAM. 

Sherman said, “We are excited to bring premium sports content to Liberia through our agreement with Econet Media. Local audiences are looking for compelling content and we believe that Kwesé Free Sports represents the very best in premium free-to-air content. RAM is premised on connecting ideas and empowering people and Kwesé Free Sports is the perfect fit for our network of channels.”
