CANAL + INTERNATIONAL launches on April 2nd a new short and humorous program exclusively on the antenna of CANAL + in Africa: KONGOSSA TELECOM. KONGOSSA TELECOM is the first series project to be launched following the call for applications to the MDR! Project, launched in 2015 by CANAL + and CFI, the French Agency for Media Development, to identify and train tomorrow’s African talent.
The short comedy series has been selected from over a hundred projects submitted by candidates from all over Africa. The authors of the series were able to benefit from a training session to help writing and producing series of humorous audiovisual drama.
Co-produced by CANAL + INTERNATIONAL, KONGOSSA TELECOM was produced by ON EST ENSEMBLE PRODUCTIONS (Gabon) and directed by Samantha Biffot, director and screenwriter from France and Gabon. KONGOSSA TELECOM presents five childhood friends Patrick, Yann, his sister Ngringa, Dégé and Charlotte who have one thing in common: Love kongosser! Love, money, football … Between them, they talk about everything and repeat everything. In the end, directly or by phone, their words are amplified, and of course distorted. The misunderstanding sets in to quickly give way to the misunderstanding and the craziness.
