Jammu and Kashmir government asked to stop unauthorised broadcast of Pakistan channels

Union information and broadcasting minister Venkaiah Naidu has expressed his concerns against the Pakistan channels being aired in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and asked the government to stop the diffusion.

The minister is afraid of these channels due to possible anti-India ideas and communicated “There have been reports of some Pakistani and Saudi Arabian channels being aired in J&K which is in violation of the law. The minister expressed concern over this and has asked J&K government to stop this immediately”

The J&K government has been asked to take action against the diffusion of the channels. The Ministry of Information and  Broadcasting ( MIB) demanded local cable operators and MSO to stop the broadcast of the channel that haven’t been approved by the government

Recently the MIB asked the department of space to block all unauthorized transmission coming from the Asian Broadcast Satellite
