Grupo Imagen, through its free-to-air TV channel Imagen Televisión, has signed a deal with YouTube with the aim of providing support on the Internet to the growing demand for sports content, TV series, news and entertainment TV shows.
Under the agreement, users of the app and the site of Imagen Televisión will continue to access content that is suitable for all audiences through an interface supported by YouTube technology, Mexican newspaper Excélsior reported, which is also part of Grupo Imagen.
The transition to the new platform begins on June 30. Currently, the app and website of Imagen Televisión have more than one million visits and 36 million views per month.
In addition, Grupo Imagen said is the only YouTube partner in Mexico that can offer new Google’s advertising purchase models, so that the brands can develop messages based on users’ demands. The platform will also offer new advertising models tailored to the objectives by allowing Ad Exchange to connect to the Pre-Roll spot offering.

Imagen Televisión is the third national FTA TV channel, which began broadcasting in October 2016, competing with Televisa and TV Azteca, the two main broadcasters in Mexico.
