Iflix Africa purchased content from Viacom

The Malaysia based firm, Iflix, along with other SVoD services in Africa have acquired programmes from Viacom International Media Networks. Iflix will hold content from numerous Viacom Brands such as Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, MTV Base and BET.

The SVoD service provider will be offering shows like iCarly, Broad City, Pimp My Ride, Awkward and The Fabulous Life of, to subscribers in Africa.

However, the ShowMax, the existing South-African based streamer has expanded to include 500 hours of Nickelodeon programming, including Paw Patrol, Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. It has also bagged content from VIMN brands like MTV, MTV Shuga and Comedy Central. The shows which the streamer will provide, range from local to international like South Park, Roast Battle Africa and Being Mary jane just to name a few.
