HBO GO now available in Apple App Store and Google Play Store in Brazil

HBO Latin America announced the launch of its SVOD service HBO GO in Brazil through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. This way, HBO content is now available in the country without the need for an additional service.
“We are very happy with the launch of HBO GO on digital stores in Brazil. It is an important step for Brazilians to have access to our exclusive content to watch it anytime and anywhere,” said Francisco Smith, EVP of Distribution and Media Development de HBO Latin America. “Offering this service is part of the company’s strategy to make HBO’s premium content more accessible.”
The monthly subscription costs R$ 34.90 (USD 10.7) for devices with Android system and USD 10.99 for iOS devices.
In June of this year, HBO launched HBO GO as standalone service on Google and Android platforms in 17 Latin American countries. In Brazil, operators Oi and Vivo (Telefónica) also offer HBO GO for their broadband subscribers, without the need to subscribe to pay TV.
