HBO Latin America announced the launch of HBO GO as a subscription service in partnership with local distributor Colsecor, an entity that gathers cooperatives and SMEs of Argentina. The monthly subscription for Colsecor’s clients costs $155 (USD 9.9).

This is the first step of HBO to begin offering this new business model in the country. The service is available to users with a broadband subscription in the more than 400 localities where the Cooperatives and SMEs that integrate Colsecor operate.

Argentina is the first Southern cone country offering HBO GO as a subscription service. Previously, the service was launched in Mexico and Colombia. “Colsecor has the customer service, the technological strength and the necessary scope to be the distributor who will join us in this first step, to bring this modality to Argentina,” said Javier Figueras, ‎Corporate Vice-President Affiliate Sales at HBO Latin America.

HBO GO features more than 2,500 titles, including movies and original HBO series. The service also offers access to the linear channel.

HBO GO is also offered as a TV Everywhere service for HBO subscribers in pay TV. With the new business model, users do not need to be subscribed to pay TV operators.
