HBO expands its OTT service to 17 countries, arrives on Apple TV

A few days after its launch in the Caribbean, HBO Latin America announced that its HBO GO standalone service through digital stores (Apple App Store and Google Play Store) is now available in 17 markets in Latin America.

In addition, the service became available on Apple TV, which allows video streaming directly to the TV. The company recently launched support for Chromecast.

In digital stores, the service is available at a local cost equivalent to adding an HBO/MAX premium package to a linear pay TV service.

 

The 17 new markets where HBO GO is offered through the App Store and Google Play are Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela.
