Google and Apple open official stores in Latin America

Google and Apple are expanding the reach of their products in Latin America. Recently, Google added Brazil and Mexico among the new countries where the Google Store is now available, along with Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand. In turn, Apple has opened new premium reseller stores in Argentina.

Google Store websites in Brazil and Mexico are already active, but for the moment, only Chromecast 2 and Chromecast Audio devices are available. The expectation is that the Internet giant will begin to incorporate other products soon.

On the other hand, OneClick, which operates as the Apple Premium Reseller (APR) has opened three physical stores in Argentina (one in Rosario and two in Buenos Aires city), Infobae reported.

Globally, Apple has three kinds of stores: the Apple Store – there are only three in Latin America (two in Brazil and one in Mexico); the Apple Premium Reseller (APR) and Apple Authorized Reseller (AAR) stores, explained Juan Pablo Montoya, OneClick’s ambassador brand. OneClick plans to open 40 new stores through 2021 with Apple’s support through joint direct investments with APR.
