Globo launches new miniseries at L.A. Screenings

Brazilian giant Globo is presenting at the LA Screenings 2017, which brings together major players in the regional market, the new miniseries “The Brothers”.

This new production, which is part of the company’s 2017 catalog, is starring actor Cauã Reymond, known for his work in the telenovela “Avenida Brasil” (Brazil Avenue). It is a family epic story about identical twins (played by Reymond), torn apart by a dispute for the love of their mother, who had always favored one of them.

The miniseries was a big hit in Brazil, with more than 38 million people impacted per episode, reaching a final audience of 106 million viewers. “The Brothers” also struck a chord with online viewers of Globo Play, Globo’s OTT platform, as well as on GShow, the company’s entertainment website, reaching over 4.5 million views, and approximately 350,000 plays per day.

This new original production is inspired by the book written by the Brazilian writer Milton Hatoum, and portrays the life of Lebanese descendants in the city of Manaus, capital of Amazonas, northern Brazil, in 1920.
