Fox Sports and Caracol show interest in the premium channel that Colombian soccer league is planning to launch

The sports channel Fox Sports (Fox) and the FTA TV channel Caracol contacted the Major Division of Colombian Soccer (Dimayor, by its initials in Spanish), entity responsible for directing the local soccer league. They are both interested in launching the new premium channel that the organization is planning to have. This wasn’t officially announced, but the news was spread in the website Comutricolor.com.
In both cases, the website leaked the letter addressed to the authorities of the Dimayor sent by a senior manager of each signal in which they offered to deploy the new channel. It is important to note that Fox Sports already broadcasts Argentinean soccer league through a premium signal and that Caracol broadcasts the matches of the Colombia National Team.
Asked by the local press, the President of Dimayor, Jorge Perdomo, stated that the premium channel will be launched soon, probably by mid-2018. However, they are still in negotiations and can’t make an official announcement. Their first negotiations are with the FTA TV channel RCN and with pay TV operator DirecTV (AT&T), owners of Win Sports, the pay TV channel that currently broadcasts the matches.
