FOX premieres first original sitcom in Brazil

FOX Networks Group Brazil announced the premiere of the original production “Prata da Casa”, the group’s first sitcom in the country. The series debuts today on FOX. It will have 14 half-hour episodes.

The series revolves around Sérgio Henrique (played by Rodrigo Pandolfo), an Olympic medalist, unemployed, who finds out that his wife is cheating on him and returns to live with his parents in Sao Paulo.

The first episode is already available online -with no authentication needed- on FOX’s TV Everywhere service. The second episode will also be open from May 11. The third episode and the others will be only available to subscribers on pay TV systems, always the day after the premiere on TV.

“We continue to grow in the original production area in Brazil and proposing new genres to attract the audience, stories of high quality and great cast, which can have repercussion in Latin America,” said Mariana Pérez, SVP Production and Development of FNG Latin America. The series was created by André Pellenz, who is also the general director.
