With Sat.TV, Middle East and North African viewers will now be able to browse through the program schedules of around 400 free-to-air channels. They also have the option of searching by time, channel or the type of content.
Users are accessible to a user-friendly program guide interface which is available in five languages namely English, Italian, Arabic, Russian and French. Program details can be accessed in around 40 languages.
Commenting about the extension of the app, Nicolas Moulin-Fournier, SVP New Video Services, at Eutelsat, said: “Sat.tv has been welcomed by broadcasters for its capacity to create value and by viewers for living up to its promise: “Free to choose”. We are confident that the vast audience at the fast-evolving 7/8° West neighbourhood will adopt Sat.tv’s intuitive app features as quickly as HOTBIRD viewers and broadcasters”.
