Es’hailSat, the communication satellite operator in Qatar, has been chosen by BeIN Sports to air in 4K, live coverage of the Euro 2016 starting tomorrow. Matches will be transmitted from 26 degrees East hotspot covering the MENA region.
BeIN Sports being the exclusive rights holder for the football tournament, will together with Es’hailSat, be the first to broadcast live sports in 4K resolution via satellite in the Middle East North African regions. 4K, also called the 4K resolution refers to the ultra-high definition of the image quality. The picture is thus more vivid and realistic.
“We are extremely excited to collaborate with Es’hailSat in launching our 4K channel. This launch enables beIN subscribers to watch and enjoy UEFA Euro 2016 in 4K. This demonstrates beIN technology leadership within the Pay-TV space. It also demonstrates Es’hailSat and beIN’s ability to stay ahead of our competition in bringing the best-in-class TV experience to our subscribers”, said Yousef Al-Obaidly, the deputy CEO at beIN Media Group.
On the other hand, Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, the president and chief executive officer of Es’hailSat, said: “We are delighted that beIN has entrusted Es’hailSat with the transmission of this key sporting event”.
