Esporte Interativo keeps investing in eSports. The sports channel owned by Turner announced that it will broadcast two new seasons of eLeague for Brazil in all platforms. This season, the game will be Street Fighter V.
The regular season begins on April 7. Esporte Interativo will broadcast the competitions on pay TV, on the OTT service EI Plus, and also through Facebook and Twitch. This season, the competition will have 32 participants. The winner will receive a price of USD 250,000.
E-League is a joint venture of Turner with IMG in the USA. This will be the third season broadcasted by the Brazilian channel. The fourth season will be launched on the second semester of 2017 with a new game.
The boom of eSports is going to be one of the main topics to be addressed at NexTV Series Brazil 2017, the leading conference organized by Dataxis that will take place on April 19th in Sao Paulo. Ricardo Souto, New Business Manager of Esporte Interativo, is going to be one of the speakers of the conference in the executive panel titled “Sports: multi-screen, OTT and live streaming”.
