DishTV introduces ‘Digishala’ to its viewers

Digishala, a 24×7 TV channel, has been introduced by the DTH service provider, DishTV. The channel is an educational one and is available on LCN number 2036, uniquely on Dish TV. This launch has been done by the government, in view of educating viewers on the numerous digital payment modes.

Being a free-to-air channel, ‘Digishala’ will introduce the use of cashless, paperless and faceless digital payment transactions to rural and semi-urban people across villages and small towns, that is areas where DishTV enjoys a unique reach.

DishTV, to recall, has been established back in 2003. Since then, the company has been one of the important DTH service provider in India. It came up with the introduction of digital modes of revenue collection. Further, the company had introduced prepaid cards for its trade partners. Till date, the company has a subscriber base of over 15 million.
