Dish TV enters Karnataka market with new Kannada packages

Great news for residents of Karnataka. Dish TV, the direct-to-home (DTH) operator, has introduced three Kannada special packages for the market of Kannada. They will be available to the users in different languages from which they can choose; Telugu, Odia, Tamil, Malayalam and Marathi.

English news, sports, kids, movies and infotainment channels will also be available together with Kannada and local channels. New subscribers will have the privilege to choose up to 3 language packs, among which a Kannada one will be included while the two other will be of different languages.

Arun Kumar Kapoor, the chief executive officer at Dish TV said: “Over the years, we have observed the trend of the viewer preferences prevailing in the Karnataka market. They have an inclination for regional content. Karnataka being a highly multi-lingual state and keeping in mind the multi-lingual entertainment requirement in the state, Dish TV has always been at the forefront to provide innovative solutions”.

He further added that: “In order to enhance the TV viewing experience of our subscribers in regional markets and to ensure that they enjoy seamless services with uninterrupted entertainment at cost-effective rates, Dish TV has come up with these special Kannada offerings”.
