Ecuadorian Pay-TV companies DirecTV and TV Cable already have the GolTV channel in their programming line-up through which their subscribers can view all the matches of the local soccer league. The sports channel is from the basic packages of the operators, for which users will not have to pay any extra cost; while those with the HD package can see the matches in that definition.
Television rights of the Ecuadorian tournament belong to Tenfield company of the Uruguayan Paco Casal, who has signed a contract for ten years with the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation (FEF), starting in this 2018. All the matches of the league will be watched by the Tenfield sign, Gol TV.
So far, Casal had only sold the transmission of the games to the state operator CNT (National Telecommunications Corporation) and the Association of Small Cable Operators of Ecuador (Asocope). Osvaldo Giménez, director of GolTV, told that the idea is that all pay TV operators can exhibit the local championship.
