DirecTV launches four local channels in Argentina

With the aim of consolidating its programming offer in the different provinces, DirecTV announced the addition of fourth new local channels of Argentina: Canal Siete and Canal 9 from Mendoza, Canal 13 from Río Cuarto (Córdoba) and Canal de la Ciudad (The channel of the City of Buenos Aires).
“DirecTV works to provide its customers across the country with the best entertainment experience, with technology and content adapted to their needs and consumption preferences, both for our Prepaid and Postpaid services,” said Juan González del Solar, Programming and Contents Manager of DirecTV Latin America South Region.
Canal 9 from Mendoza is available on channel 131. The channel was founded in 1965 and has become a benchmark of Mendoza society. Among its shows are the four daily editions of Noticiero 9, “Viva la Mañana” with all the news from Mendoza and the magazine “Cada Día” with two daily editions (in the morning and afternoon).
Canal de la Ciudad (on channel 239) began broadcasting in 2003. It shows the multiple lifestyles that coexist in Buenos Aires. On the other hand, Canal 13 from Río Cuarto (channel 132) offers contents oriented to inform and entertain, with the aim of discovering the cultural diversity of Argentina.
Canal Siete (on channel 130), offers information and local content through “Noticiero Siete”, the editions of “Desde la Redacción” and other local contents.
