Dimayor sells Colombian football international TV rights

The Colombian Football Major Division (Dimayor) ran an agreement with the US investment fund Pruden Corporate Finance (PCF) for the Liga Aguila -name of the Professional Football League in Colombia- international broadcasting rights for the next 10 years. The initiative will report USD 50 million to the competition and its football teams.

PCF will be able to negotiate Colombian football broadcasting rights worldwide, except from Colombia, where the pay TV channel Win Sports owns them. The resultant figure from the agreement will be distributed into the 36 professional football teams in Colombia (20 from the First Division and 16 from the B one). It is estimated that each football club will receive about USD 1.4 million.

Dimayor is also working on the launch of the premium sports channel Win Max, owned by Win Sports, which will broadcast all the Colombian Football First Division matches, and other contents.

Ivan Novella Garrido, Sports Manager at Dimayor, is one of the confirmed speakers at the next Sportv Series Latin America & US Hispanic edition, which will take place next October 2nd at the Biltmore Hotel, in Miami, organized by Dataxis.
